The blade length is extreme at 86cm. My Sappers & Miners bayonets are about 58cm, and the longest bayonet ever issued to the British Army was the Jacobs bayonet, and my one has a 75cm blade. But, that said, there were a couple of longer experimental types. Would you mind if I show this to a couple of learned collector friends please?.
