Mostly it depends on what you will be fighting. For armor, some form of heavy armor is best as thralls do not suffer any of the stamina regen problems player characters have with heavy armor. Try and select armor that has a bonus in either strength or vitality. Weapons with bleed and poison are great against live bosses with tons of hit points ... T1 use weaker weapons and armor, T2 and T3 use better equipment and better effects for crafting and breaking. As for why Thralls don't have weapons when placed. Try different kinds out, they all have strengths and weaknesses. Generally 1-handed mace, no shield is "best" for thralls for highest DPS, but 2-handed swords are great for inflicting cripple and sweeping large areas-good against crowds. The best is a mix strengh + vitality and max armor. Here is the result : Aspect of the Wolf +8 strengh. Redeemed Legion Pauldron +4 strengh. Voidforged Dragon Gauntlets +3 vitality. Cimmerian Steel Tasset +2 vitality. Voidforged Dragon Boots +2 vitality. +12 strengh, +7 vitality, 1302 armor. Weapon Feroxic Great sword 81/35.The t3 archers are probably only good for being fodder. In PvP one doesn’t always have the luxury of farming for 1% spawns. That’s what makes these thralls appear so prevalent in their popularity. They are certainly good, but with the RNG you are capable of greeting good thralls anywhere.
